Description | Woven. Design in border formed of bark, black and green. In these mats, some of the bark is left its natural colour which is a deep brown; some is bleached a lighter brown; some is soaked in water until it is a greenish black. The green is probably not cedar but alder or willow soaked in "dead" water (that of a lake, for instance) |
