Description

Plaited fibre band originally completely covered with three rows of small pierced shell discs with tortoise shell ornamentation (some now missing); a large shell plaque overlaid with tortoise shell at each end. Attached to top edge are eleven large plaques, six of tortoise shell with elaborate carved design including stylized human figure, and five of white shell.
