Description

Large; deerskin; beaded: around top-white and green with small areas of yellow and blue. Beaded strips down each side: white background with red, blue and yellow designs repeated at intervals. Lower third fully beaded; white background with 3 large light blue diamonds above each other, diamonds edged with dark blue, dark blue cross with yellow center in middle; at horizontal ends of diamonds; 2 small diamonds red on one side blue on other. Panel edged above and below with band of red and green triangles, above top one solid blue band with 2 elongated triangles above in white, blue and yellow on one side, plus red on other. Rigid fringing wrapped with red quills with green design; below is long free fringing. Tassel of thongs below top, some wrapped with yellow, red and green quills and ending in tin jingles with red bristles. Bag and fringing show evidences of yellow paint. Late 1800's.
