Description

Vermeule Exhibit: Intaglio. Chalcedony. Laureate draped bust of Julius Caesar, a star appears in front of forehead and a diadem behind shoulder. Design wsa popular and is found on a number of Renaissance book covers as a leather stamping. Renaissance Vermeule: Chalcedony (Gilt pendant setting).
