Unfinished base, with string-marks: not a separate base, merely the flattening of the bottom of the vessel. Very small bit of lower wall set at an outward angle to the base. Interior suggests hand made (no wheel marks). Thick grey clay with tiny bits of white stone. Red surface on exterior, medium brown on interior.
Mrs. Caskey: "could be Middle or Late Bronze." No. 44 on her list.
