Description | Model of Harpoon. Wooden shaft, with "bone foreshaft" and "bone" harpoon head. Harpoon head is thin, with closed socket, no barbs, and "slate" blade. Foreshaft is supposed to be fastened by line to the shaft. Harpoon line from head is attached to shaft in 2 places near the butt. Also attached to butt is "inflated seal bladder." Foreshaft is supposed to hinge, and head is supposed to be detachable. |
