Description

Fragment. Dark red with small figure in green, yellow, dark and light brown and pink. Divided at ends. Knotted.

A fragment of a thin finely woven "headband" with a repeated animal figure design. This fragment is made up of two strips that are knotted together. The background color is dark red and the animals are woven in red, green, and tan yarn. There are a few areas in the design where there is a slit visible between the adjoining colors, possibly indicating a slit tapestry weave. Color(s): red, green, tan, brown.
