Natural color bark cloth with groups of red stripes. Made of mamaki (Pipturus sp.) (Kaeppler). Male garment (malo). Acquired during the United States Exploring Expedition (1838-1842) by Titian R. Peale. “Dress of ‘Tapa,’ Male attire.” on Peale list. Ka Hana Kapa #392.
