Description | Man's. Black cotton with fuschia pin stripes, plain weave, single breadth. Brocading: 4 rows of four individual figures each in red, orange, yellow, green blue, white [ silk and cotton] Motifs: 1st and 4th rows double headed eagles. 2nd and 3rd rows double headed fowl[?]. No two colored exactly alike. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 46 epi, 2 singles, Z twist, black cotton, 2 ply magenta. Weft: 28 ppi, 2 singles, Z twist, black cotton. Warp plain weave. Supplemental weft two faced. 1 panel - 2 selvedges. Made on a backstrap loom." |
