Description | Belt of red cotton with narrow black and yellow pin stripes. Warp faced weave. 77cm at one end made up of bands of single faced brocade in geometric motifs based on zigzag, triangles and rectangles. Bands 2.5-3.5cm deep. Rainbow colors used. Goes with 69-23-1. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 92 epi, two ply, yellow and black cotton. Three singles, Z twist, red cotton. Weft: 32 ppi, three singles, Z twist. Warp faced plain weave. Supplementary weft is single faced. Woven on a backstrap loom." |
