Description

Large pot with bosses, medium neck encircled with semi-circular indentation, two vertical loop handles on shoulder

Cooking pot (olla) with a globular body, flaring collar, outward sloping rim, 2 strap handles on the body, and a rounded base. No molded/modeled additions. rounded bumps pressed out from interior. The vessel has numerous hemispherical protrusions on the body pushed out from the interior. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is orange and gray in color. The catalogue number is written on the object in black ink on the bottom of the base. Traces of black ink on the bottom of the base reads: "2735a."
