Description

Painting in gold and blue color on silk. Image depicts the Thirteen Butsu (十三仏) deities popular in Shingon Buddhism. These are comprised of five Buddhas, seven Bodhisattvas, and the Myo-o Fudo. A painting like this is associated with funeral and memorial rights and services.
