Materials Ivory

Ivory; every piece having a fragment of human face, some with double guilloche borders.

Muscarella Publication: "Apparently a horse's feathered headdress(?), but different from nos. 5 and 26. The upper guilloche border, completed on another plaque, and the sawed right edge are intact; an ivory dowel is in situ. The reverse has neat rocker scoring."

Muscarella Publication: "The head of a warrior like the preceding examples, right. The top of the feathered helmet is not fully carved. The upper border has a guilloche pattern. The reverse has neat scoring."

Muscarella Publication: "Extant is part of the head of a man holding a vessel to his mouth with his right hand, right. Stright hair like that of nos. 62, 63, 106 flares out from his head. His beard is scraggy." "part of a human head, left. The face is similar to nos. 76-78." "Part of a human head, right. Face like above."

Muscarella Publication: "A damaged fragment that preserves part of the heads of two figures, right. The left figure has straight hair held by a fillet, an oval eye, and a prominent nose. He carries two unidentified objects, a sistrum or a branch, or, more probably, arrows. In front is a larger figure (cf. no. 92), also with straight long hair. He has typical thick lips and a dowel formed the eye. Something seems to touch the back of his head - fingers? The reverse has thin cross-hatched scoring."

Muscarella Publication: "Apparently a fragment of a human head or a mythical creature, right; similar in some respects to no. 121. Extant are an oval eye, thick scraggy hair and long neck. The upper border is a thick band; two dowel holes to the right."
