Description | Large oval open-mouthed birch bark basket with slightly flaring sides. Three birch bark pieces stitched together create basket surface; folded to create four corners at base. White outer surface of birch bark is exterior surface of basket. Single rod of willow (?) at outer rim lashed with open stitching of willow(?). Four narrow birch bark pieces added at outside rim, with interior reddish surface turned outward. |
