Description

Plain. Globular body; wide rim, two vertical loop handles on body.

Cooking pot (olla) with a globular body, flaring collar, rounded rim, 2 strap handles on the body, and a rounded base. There are no molded/modeled additions and no decoration. There appears to be a smoothed finish on the exterior and a smoothed with rotative movement finish on the interior. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is orange in color. The catalogue number is written on the bottom of the base and black ink on the bottom of the base reads: "1627n."
