Description
Pine, hickory, and tulip wood. Churn construction with one open end; wider at closed end; three hoops. "Drum of type traditional in Bird Town for Ball Game Dance. Note technique of churn construction, but is same technique as Iroquois use for drum. This specimen about 1/2 size of those actually used."
