Description | 9 crouching or stretching felines with frontal faces and tooled outlines on body. Bucchero, stamped and tooled. Hemispherical body, low flared foot. Offset inverted rim. Four spool-shaped handles, on of which is missing, were attached just above shoulder. Nine crouching or stretching felines with frontal faces with tooled outlines on body. Fabric: dark grey core, fine-grained with flecks of mica (?) and white stone. Smooth gray surface. Condition: one complete handle and half of another missing. Technique: thrown in one piece. Felines stamped. Handles molded and attached. Burnished; probably slipped. |
