Description | Wooden Katsina doll. The face is painted white with a large blue area over the majority of it. A black-painted band with white squares covers the forehead. The eyes are bulging and the mouth is a protruding snout. One ear is red and semicircular and the other is a flower blossom made of red yarn and pins. Feathers are attached to a plant fiber ring on the back of the head. The body is painted red with yellow symbols and a kilt is painted around the waist. |
