Description | From 1/3 to half preserved giving complete profile. Wheelmade. Base inscribed before firing. Low ring base; slightly concave flaring sides to plain rim and lip. Essentially a simplification of the preceding form (49-12-149) but impossible to date on this basis alone. Clay: pinkish gray to dark pink near surface, much white accretion on exterior. |
