Description

Kettle-shaped top on columnar stand with flaring flat base. Kettle topped with skin which is kept tight by lashing of white nylon cord. Shoulder strap of sewed calico strips. Hollow inside throughout. Wood, painted dark red. Kettle has gesso under paint.
