Description | Awl made from flying fox bone 9yibin, type on maim yibin or on yowom yibin) (on maim and on yowom are synonyms for flying foz or fruit bat). Made from lower "wing" bone. Formerly, flakes of flint (see 89-17-66 A-D) were used to sharpen point. One of the basic tools. Also used as needle to remove splinters. Made by Atani Wungmo, Ketbiran clan, Dome village. Purchased from maker 8/1/88. Made for collection. |
