Description | Jar. Antique. Cast brass, by lost wax method. Ring base, nearly straight sides expanding slightly to high rounded shoulder, extremely short neck with inturned rim. Indecipherable Chinese character in base. 8 Buddhist symbols in very naturalistic way; also lion and cub in Chinese style (Cf. 51-4-82). |
