Description

Nearly complete and mended. Part of mouth missing. Flat base, ovoid body. Slightly concave neck to flaring round mouth with rolled rim. Thick round handle from shoulder to mid-neck. Clay: gray-buff with light and dark sand. Paint: matt wine-red and dark gray-brown to black. Neck bordered under rim and above base by 3 stripes; black-red-black. Onneck groups of triple oblique lines (alternating directions) Bars on handle. In shoulder zone, bordered below by stripes (black-red-black-red-black) there are 2 panels separated and bordered by 3 zones of lattice work flanked by vertical stripes: black-red-black. In one panel, a standing bird in reserved technique, with extended tail; in the other, a fish in reserved technique, with both fins represented. Cf. MCh, (underlined), 50, Fig. 21.
