Description

Large basket for holding locusts alive before roasting and eating. Made of split bamboo uprights with bamboo hoops at bottom and middle. Narrow opening at top, with stopper of rattan peel. Braided rattan peel carrying loops. Locusts were a traditional delicacy among the Ifugao in the highlands of Northern Luzon.
