Description | Red cotton plain weave cloth. Two breadths. Stripes[ red, blue green, black, white and yellow] run length. Design elements: flowers, animals, human figures, and geometric bandsin double faced inlay brocading in silk and cotton; large reindeer also part of design element. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: border - 64 epi, 2 singles, 2 ply, multicolored. Red: 64 epi, 2 singles, Z twist, red cotton. Weft: 32 ppi, singles, Z twist, red cotton. Supplemental weft - double faced. 2 panels - 4 selvedges each. Made on a backstap loom." |
