Description | Red, plain weave cotton with blue, double pin stripe plaid. Three rows of brocaded animals in center in silk and cotton thread. Geometric bands at opposite ends. Brocading in white, lavender, yellow and pale green. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 42 epi, three singles, Z twist, red and blue cotton. Weft: 24 ppi, three singles, Z twist, red and blue cotton. Warp predominantly plain weave. Supplementary weft is two faced. One panel, four selvedges. Woven on a backstrap loom." |
