Description

Short sword, wakizashi. Hilt covered with ray skin, unusual because the it is wrapped with leather rather than silk. The gilded hilt pins are decorated with images of battle standards. The small knife on the side is decorated with iris flowers.The collar and pommel are also gilded. Bamboo pegs are missing.
