Description | Sommerville: Antique paste intaglio. A bull frolicking. Antique Pastes, Case VVV. Vermeule: Pale, imitating pale Sard, Iridescent. Intaglio. (Unmounted) A bull butting to the left. The composition known on coins of Thurium in the Vth and IVth centuries B.C. was revived extensively for the gold and silver of the Emperor Augustus (27 B.C.-14 A.D.) Graeco-Roman. |
