Description | Bell cup with pitched-in spout opposite the handle. Medium textured, reddish yellow (5 YR 7/6) clay with light and dark inclusions. Wiped with water. Undecorated, intact. Marked "861a" on side. For the shape (without a spout) compare (among others) Sackett and Popham 1970: fig. 13, no. 15 (Palaikastro); Kaiser 1976 b: pl. 12, no. 4 (Knossos); Lembesi, Olivier and Godart 1974: pl. 42D, right (Archanes). |
