Description | Cylindrical oinochoe fragment. Fragment of nearly straight wall with double curve to shoulder. Even break above: presumably pot was made in sections. Hard buff clay. Interior unglazed. Surface covered with cream colored slip. Decoration in glaze partly fired yellow. Below, 3 wheel-painted lines. Middle, zone with curvilinear design enclosing two rows of pear-shaped outlines; dots in field. Above, a wheel-painted line, and a broad band of glaze on which a red wheel-painted line is superimposed. "Heraeum" in pencil on interior. |
