Description | Ganjifa cards. Dasavatara pack. 45 round playing cards of lacquered paper. Each card is red on one side. On the other side each card has a green or red edge with two concentric circles in yellow close to the edge. At the center the motif for each suit is repeated one to ten times. There are six suits which are as follows: 7 cards with fish on a red background representing Matsya, 9 cards with Sankha or conch shell on a black background representing Buddha, 9 cards with bows and arrows on a yellow background representing Rama, 5 cards with water pots on a green background representing Vamana, 7 cards with a lion on a green background representing Narasimha, and 8 cards with quoits on a brown background representing Krishna. |
