Description | Miniature jug with one vertical handle, trefoil mouth, and low maximum diameter. Medium textured, light reddish brown (5 YR 6/4) to black clay, varying greatly in color, with light and dark inclusions. Wiped with water. Swashes of dark paint. Intact. Comments: Probably LM I. See MS4600A. The low maximum diameter is not uncommon in eastern Crete in LM I. Compare (among others) Dawkins 1902-03: fig. 21, no. 11 (Palaikastro). |
