Description | Chess board. The game pieces for this board are 16489C. Dark brown wood table, with four short legs at corners. The top is engraved with lines dividing the board into 8 by 8 squares. On opposite sides of the table there are two rows in which each square has a metal spike or a nail hole and remnants of glue: it appears that the playing pieces were once attached to the board. The table top is in two pieces. There is a decoratively carved cross piece for re-inforcement attached diagonally across the bottom. |
