Description
Man's sash. Cotton, red ground, warp faced and heavily brocaded at each end. Brocading is multicolored but predominately blue. Narrow, widely spaced stripes of brocade throughout length. Fringe twisted and tied. Part of one end unfinished.
As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 48 epi, three singles, Z twist, red cotton. Weft: 24 ppi, three singles, Z twist, red cotton. Warp predominantly plain weave. Supplementary weft is two faced. Woven on a backstrap loom."
