Description

Sommerville: Antique paste intaglio, color topaz. A Bacchante decorated with grape-leaves and fruit. Antique Pastes, Case UUU.

Vermeule: Glass paste, imitating Topaz. Intaglio. (Unmounted) Bust of Maenad facing slightly to left. Vine leaves and grapes are evident in her hair and she wears a chiton pinned on her right shoulder. Graeco-Roman, well executed.
