Vermeule: Sardonyx-Carnelian. Cameo. (Modern gold ring setting) A nude female figure seated to left, contemplating a large orb balanced on her right knee. A XVIIth century type allegory is suggested (cf. the statue of [ ] by Bernini). XVIIIth century, Italian.
