Description | Penis sheaths of wild mango seed (orom yop, type karap yop) (karap = wild mango, yop = seed or fruit). Shell of wild mago seed, which must be collected from along the Fly River. Hole punched with an awl, Gnetum strings attached. Long string goes around the waist; short string (missing on A and B) loops around testicles. Worn as everyday male penis covering (testicles not covered). A and B made by Nem Kowop, Meremkop clan, Dome village. Purchased from maker 7/20/88. No information on C other than that it was obtained in Dome village. |
