Description

Point or arrowhead (石鏃). Triangular point. Stem is small nodule on base. Thin. Bifcially retouched. Light color opaque stone. 13168 is one of many stemmed points in the collection. However, like 29-183-21, it is also very finely chipped and triangular in shape. The stem is simply a nodule along one side. Both of these pieces are unlike the stemmed points which appear in Late Paleolithic and have more in common with the Jomon to Yayoi forms.
