Description

Adze. Stone blade with nearly triangular cross section, pointed butt, rattan lashings. Red clay applied to blade and lashings, Blade probably traded in from the west. General all purpose type, for clearing, etc. No longer used. Hafted for collection by Kaitanus Dot, Ok dan clan, Timka village, Irian jaya, living in Dome refugee camp. Purchased form Kaitanus Dot.
