Description | A doll with a buckskin body dress in buckskin clothing. The head is line with white beads and has a patch of long brown hair coming from only the top. A wide buckskin shirt is worn with long fringe along the sides and the lower edge cut into a zigzag edge. The upper portion of the shirt is beaded with a red and white checkerboard and a beaded diamond formed around the neck. An apron hangs below the shirt with long fringe along both sides and short fringe along the bottom edge. The upper portion of the apron is dyed red, the middle portion has alternating horizontal bands of red and white beads, and the lower portion is dyed green below a band of single white beads. The doll wears moccasins with vertical bands of white and red beads and beaded crosses over the feet. |
