Description
Headhunter's knife. Single-edged curved steel blade widest at point. Distance from point to back of blade notched. One wide and one narrow deep groove on each face of blade at back. Lower part of grip bound with leather, central section with fine basketry band. The pommel is an animal head of ivory hollow at top and holding a tassel of hair. Upper part of sheath and a flap through which carrying loop is placed are carved. Palm wood for side knife attached to back.
