Description | Peng-ku, drum. Hand drum for Buddhist worship and processions. Double-headed frame with handle. Circular heads of skin, painted red with black line designs. Heads are attached to frame by metal nails. Frame is wooden with wooden black lacquered handle. Frame is painted gold and red with black designs. Good condition. Drum is a rattle drum would have had two beads that strike the heads of the drums when twirled backwards and forwards. |
