Description | White cotton plain weave in two breadths. Entire pattern is cotton double faced overlay brocading. Design elements of rabbits, birds, geometricized flowers, greek key designs. Inscriptios woven into fabric by double faced overlay brocading. Warp: 32 epi, two ply, white cotton. Weft: 32 ppi, two ply, white cotton. Warp predominantly plain weave. Supplementary weft is double faced. Two panels, one with four selvedges and one with three selvedges and border strip added at one end. Woven on a backstrap loom." |
