Description

Standing male figure, holding abbreviated cobras in each hand with five more stylized snakes on shoulders and as headdress. Identified by Lee Horne as Matai as Nagpunchari, the N. Indian equivalent of Manasha. Made by Baikuntha Karnakar, who identified the figure as Bhairabi Manasha, i.e. a form of Shiva Bhairava, used in Manesha pujo.
