Description | Rim fragment of a vertical sided pot with curved diagonal fluting on one side of the pot; between the diagonally fluted bands is a raised circle from which issue curved raised lines, the decoration perhaps representing the sun. Black ware burning brown, slip on both surfaces burning red on the interior, reddish brown on the exterior at the rim, and black on the rest of the body. Both surfaces near lustrous burnishing. Handmade. |
