Description | Rectangular basket possibly used as a box lid or cover. Plaited cedar bark warps with spruce root wefts between plaiting spaced roughly 1cm apart. Dark, vertical lines are woven into the basket in repeating sets of three. Appears to be cut at the top. Base of basket is plaited. Technical notes: twined, two-strand, in-between weave (with plain). 4 warps, 2 rows per square inch. |
