Description

Rim-sherd with handle from a semiglobular cup. Fine, pale red ( 2.5YR 6/2) clay with a slightly darker core, coverd with unevenly colored paint, mostly dark reddish brown, with decoreation in added red and added white paint. Painted on interior and exterior. Added red: arcs and other motifs, only partly preserved. Added white: diagonal line and other motifs, only partly preserved. for arcs see Walberg 1976: Motifs 9 and 17. The motifs in added red and added whit were probably related to those illustrated by Walberg 1983: Motif 24, nos. 17-19.
