Tag accompanying object bears note on one side in Speck's handwriting, "collected by Richard White whose wife and family are Eskimo." Verso, in what may be Richard White's handwriting, "Esk. graves 100 miles N. of Nain. These are for scraping children's excrement from skins used for bedding [illegible] (caribou bones)."
