Description | Cylindrical basket with rattle-top lid (NA9209B). The basket is decorated with upper and lower bands of false embroidery in "blanket border" patterns. Central band of separated "shaman's hat" patterns across the middle. Technical notes: twined, close twined, two-strand, in-between weave (with plain), three-strand, wrapped weft ("false embroidery"). Top: 18 warps, 22 wefts per square inch. Bottom: 18 warps, 22 wefts. Lip: 11 wefts. Knob: 16 warps, 22 wefts. Bottom-compact twine, rattle-top lid, cardboard in bottom. |
