| Description | Coiled length of twisted cord of plant fiber and red thread, which is not always visible, Strung with tiny blue, black, white, and red glass trade beads. One of a set of 8 such coils, one with no red thread or beads, then thread and progressively more beads, probably illustrating stages of manufacture. Tagged 13433 Nlle Caledonie. One other in set tagged New Britain/New Guinea. Exhibited at l'Exposition universelle de Paris 1900. |
